Sure, there are many amps out there that are designed for drums, and also bass amps, but none of the inexpensive ones I've looked at had all the features I was looking for. Well, Powerwerks got it right with this model.
It has three separate input channels, making it a mixer/amp, with options of 1/4", 1/8" and even XLR connectors. I use a 1/4" TS line from my Alesis drums, a 1/8" TRS from my cellphone, and finally XLR from my microphone.
All three channels have their own independent volume controls, then there's also a master volume. It's surprising to see how many amplifiers are out there for under $300 that don't include this feature.
It also has a subwoofer output. I bought an old used BIC V-80 that turns on automatically, and it really fills in the lower frequencies nicely.
An added bonus I wasn't even looking for is the 35mm mounting socket. That allowed me to buy an inexpensive stand to get it up off of the floor. Wow, nice. Out of all the drum and bass amps I've seen only a few have this feature, and now I couldn't live without it.
Then there's no bluetooth. I don't want or need it, and certainly don't want to pay extra for it. Bluetooth just adds to all of the things that can go wrong with an amplifier, not to mention connection problems and electrical or radio interference. If I really wanted to use anything wireless in the future I'll just buy the necessary hardware separately.
This PA actually sounds good, right down to the thumping of my double-bass drums. Crisp highs, great mids, and even moderate lows.
The last bonus is the Powerlink XLR in/outs for future connections to mixers and extra amplifiers. Well done.
I like the fact it can be used for public speaking in places like family reunions. Haven't done that yet, but it would be so easy to take it anywhere with my stand, microphone and boom, and 25-foot XLR cable.
The only complaint I have is the master volume knob.. It's tiny and rotates without any resistance or friction. While reaching around behind to adjust the level it's so easy to bump it, causing a sudden ear-splitting blast. I only consider this to be a very small issue.
Five stars for the Powerwerks PW50.

I experienced the PW50 at one of our acoustic gigs. This coffee house supplied an in-house single PW50 on a pole with a Yorkville 8 channel mixer/w effects. I wasn't too optimistic about how it was going to sound. We normally use a pair of Yorkville NX35's and a Yorkville M810 powered mixer. We fired up the PW50 and adjusted the gains etc and it was perfect ! The vocals were clear , the guitars shone. I went down to the back of the venue and listened as my partner performed a song. No problem hearing him and the sound was clear and precise. Very surprising. The system was not overbearing and customers who wanted to listen were happy , as well as customers who wanted to talk at their tables without needing to shout. I bought 2 of these units after that show. The boxes are solid , well built , and are really easy to carry . We still have the bigger system , just in case we want to utilize drums and bass , but we don't need it for the smaller stuff. We don't even need a mixer now ( but we still use one for extra instruments) Each box has 2 channels with volume and tone controls. My mic and guitar can go directly into one box using the 2 channels (xlr and 1/4") and my partner can run into the other box. Each box also has an "out" for a subwoofer which switches up the crossovers of the PW50s so that the low frequencies are diverted away from the small drivers into the sub. These are good units if you use them in the right venues.
